Auxiliary Heat Exchangers
Special Features / Construction

When air is involved as cooling
media or media to be cooled, Fin’s
are employed to enhance external
surface of the tube to cater for
poor heat transfer coefficient of
air.

Depending upon size limitation and
pressure drop limitation suitable
design of fins is selected. Type of
fins available are Wire wound, plain
fins, crimped fins, L-Fins, G-Fin,
Integral Fins etc.

Constructionally different type of
coolers are manufactured at BHEL and
these are Shell and Tube Type,
Plug-in Type, Frame and Tube type
etc.

BHEL is manufacturing these type of
Coolers since more than last 37
years and have supplied all over
India and also executed various
export jobs for LIBYA,
NEPAL,BANGLADESH, AZERBAIZAN,
BHUTAN, NEWZELAND, MALAYSIA ETC.

of Heat dissipation and design
conditions such as pressure and

Power Plants of Unit Rating upto 250 MW
have been supplied by us.
